Tree Pruning
It takes great care and skill to evaluate each tree and implement a technique to reach a desired goal. We understand how trees and shrubs respond to pruning treatments and want to work with you in order to maintain your curb appeal.
Pruning eliminates potential safety hazards around your property and also prevents future damage from wind and ice storms. In doing so, it increases light and air throughout the canopy, decreasing the likelihood of disease and insect attacks. If improving health/appearance and prolonging the life of your tree are a benefit to you; consider pruning on a regular basis.
The best time to prune is when a plant is dormant. Winter pruning allows a tree to start its recovery process early in spring. This season, get a 13% discount when Treecologic visits you between January and March 2012.
Tree pruning is commonly overlooked or ignored until there is an obvious problem. Take the first step and consult a trained arborist for your plant healthcare.

Shrub Pruning
A common error when looking after shrubs is to concentrate solely on the shrub's exterior surface by trimming it with shears. This will deprive the inner structure sufficient light for photosynthesis usually leading to the hollow shrub syndrome we have all seen and a much shorter lifespan. We believe that natural hand pruning is best for most applications. This creates a very attractive three-dimensional view and also promotes dense foliage and good health.
